dc Connect – Elevate Your Networking Game!
Looking to expand your professional circle and create connections that truly matter? Join us for dc Connect, a monthly networking series at desk chair workspace, hosted on the first Thursday of every month in The Cleveland Room. This engaging event is designed to bring together professionals from across Northern Colorado in a welcoming and inspiring environment.
This month, we are excited to feature Justin Muse "Tennessee"– Program Manager, Downtown Ambassador for Loveland Downtown District . Justin “Tennessee” Muse assumed the role of Downtown Ambassador Program Manager with the Loveland Downtown District in 2024, bringing fresh energy and a hands-on approach to keeping Loveland’s downtown safe, clean, and welcoming.
A longtime member of the Loveland community, Tennessee moved here in 2010. Over more than a decade, he has worked in downtown Loveland’s service industry—most notably as an 11-year team member of Burks Tavern—where he became a familiar and trusted face to locals and visitors alike.
In his new capacity as Downtown Ambassador, Tennessee is on the frontline every day, leading efforts to ensure downtown’s visual appeal, maintenance, and responsiveness. His responsibilities include:
• Organizing and executing cleaning programs, graffiti removal initiatives, and power washing campaigns
• Managing weed abatement, snow removal, trash collection, and general upkeep
• Providing hospitality services and acting as a rapid point of contact for downtown business owners
• Monitoring and reporting maintenance or safety issues, working to ensure timely resolution
Tennessee describes his role simply and earnestly: “helping out the community and keeping it clean.” In addition to his routine duties, he also serves as a liaison to support more vulnerable members of the community—connecting with mental health teams and outreach partners to help redirect those in the downtown area to relevant assistance where needed.
When asked what he loves most about Northern Colorado, Tennessee mentions the mountains, camping, hunting, and fishing—and the sense of small-town connection he found in Loveland. He has often said that Loveland’s downtown felt like home the moment he began spending time there, drawn by friendly faces, a tightknit community, and a liveliness you don’t always get elsewhere.
Outside his work, Tennessee is committed to personal growth—he deliberately eschews New Year’s resolutions in favor of consistent, year-round efforts to improve himself. “A problem is a problem … just take a breath, put your chin up, put one foot in front of the other,” he says.
The event will begin with Tennessee's dynamic 15–20 minute presentation, setting the tone for an energizing morning of connection and collaboration. Following his talk, attendees will enjoy an hour of open networking, designed to foster meaningful conversations and spark potential partnerships. Throughout the morning, you’ll be able to enjoy fresh coffee and pastries provided by desk chair workspace, making it the perfect setting to connect, learn, and grow.
Whether you’re a seasoned networker or just beginning to build your professional community, dcConnect offers the tools, inspiration, and environment to take your networking game to the next level. Don’t miss this opportunity to engage with like-minded professionals and walk away with valuable connections—reserve your spot today!
