SCARE AWAY HUNGER AT THE PROMENADE SHOPS? ANNUAL HALLOWEEN ON THE PROMENADE EVENT
The Promenade Shops at Centerra is committed to making a difference this year at Halloween on the Promenade by scaring away hunger. In addition to all of the great activities their event is known for, they will once again collect donations for Kids Pak, a hunger relief program benefitting children in the Thompson School District.
The event will include free horse-drawn hay rides, a petting zoo, dog-costume contest, games, activity stations, goody bags for kids in costumes and a pumpkin patch (all while supplies last). There will also be music, dancing and an area to take photos. Best Buy will also be onsite taking photos that can be emailed to you.
To help scare away hunger, non-perishable food donations will be accepted during this event at the Kids Pak booth. The registered dietician with the Food Bank for Larimer County oversees the Kids Pak program and is requesting donations of the following items:
- Unsweetened Applesauce Cups (4oz cups)
- Canned tuna or chicken packed in water (5oz cans)
- Peanut butter (18oz)
- Canned corn, no salt added (15oz cans)
- Canned green beans, no salt added (15oz cans)
A dog costume contest, hosted by D.O.G.S. will begin at 1:00pm at the DJ booth and will award prizes for the best costumes.
Door prizes will be awarded at the event and will include center-wide gift cards for The Promenade Shops at Centerra and a variety of prizes from our stores. All of the days’ activities are free while supplies last. Be sure to bring your camera to take pictures of your little superheroes and princesses at the fall photo area. Please be sure to mark your calendar for the above event as The Promenade Shops at Centerra does not host trick-or-treating on October 31.
