There are no prerequisites to register\; program is not-for-credit certificate that is open to the community.\n\n\n\nBegins October 4 in Loveland\n\nLearn the global trends and market realities of sustainability. Business leaders can reduce cost\, reduce risk\, and drive innovation in a fast globalizing world through sustainable practices. This interactive program promises to build knowledge on how sustainability impacts an organization and to prepare participants for leadership in sustainable times.\n\n\n\nSession One: \n\nGlobal Mega Trends Affecting the World Today and Different Players in Sustainability\n\nFriday\, October 4\, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.\n\nWhat does the concept of sustainability fully entail? What does sustainability mean to an organization and how does it influence an organization. Participants will learn about the implications of energy and climate change\, water\, resource consumption\, global attitudes and changing societal expectations\, biodiversity\, and more. Learn about the different organizations and their view on sustainable development. These players include the WBCSD\, EPA\, WRI\, and UWGBC\n\n\n\nSession Two:\n\nLearning from Best-Practices in Global Business and Influencing Stakeholders\n\nFriday\, October 18\, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.\n\nDive deeper into aspects of sustainability including climate\, biodiversity\, water\, resources\, and human health. Collectively\, by developing individual values rooted in sustainability\, the national culture can change. Sessions will include discussion on finance and cost externalizing as well as the triple bottom line. Models examined include the Seven Shell Principles and how they work in action.\n\n\n\nSession Three:\n\nFunction Specific Sustainability: Marketing\, Operations\, HR and Finance\n\nFriday\, November 1\, 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.\n\nMove from mega trends to daily application. Learn how to implement knowledge of sustainability as a leader. The final session will look at how to gain support from skeptics and advocate for change in an organization.
