SUMMARY:Loveland Opera Theatre Free Summer Concerts: The Alps Meet the Rockies: A Summer Festspiele\, Downtown Loveland
DESCRIPTION:Fresh air\, a view of mountains in the distance and beautiful music. What better way to spend time on a summer day? Loveland Opera Theatre is thrilled to announce our upcoming summer concerts:\n\n"The Alps Meet the Rockies: A Summer Festspiele". A semi-staged concert\, it will feature stars from our upcoming production of The Sound of Music as well as long time and new voices of Loveland Opera Theatre and Loveland Opera Ensemble singers. As a nod to the tradition of classical music festivals in Germany and Austria\, we will focus on music of German and Austrian origin. We are excited to feature selections from The Magic Flute\, The Merry Widow and Die Fledermaus as well as pieces showcasing the beauty of German Art Song tradition. A sneak peak of our mainstage production (The Sound of Music) will then close out our Festspiele as we overlook our own Alpen-esque landscape. \n\nDedicated to showcasing the talent of Colorado\, Alps Meets the Rockies will feature wonderful Colorado singers including Liz Mirandi\, Bella Mallow\, Randy Parker\, Kacie Kenton\, Maureen Bailey\, Rebecca Morris\, and Lauren Bumgarner. Their beautiful and powerful voices will be accompanied by pianist Rachel Carlson. \n\nThis free family-friendly public performance is on Friday\, July 11\, 2025\, from 6:00 8:00 pm. Attendees of Night on the Town can drop by on their way between other activities\, or audience members can bring a blanket or chairs for sitting outdoors and stay for the entire concert at The Foundry Plaza\, 2nd to 3rd St. in Downtown Loveland.\n\nWe encourage everyone to come\, even if you aren't sure you like opera. From birds in love and an angry Queen to dancing Grisettes and love and mystery behind masks\, there will truly be something for everyone. \n\nFor further information\, please visit us at www.lovelandopera.org \n\nAuf Wiedersehen! \n\nDowntown Loveland offers a free Parking Garage\, the entrance is located off of North Second Street in downtown Loveland between Lincoln & Cleveland Avenues.
