Often people in a supervisory role have gotten there because of how successful they have been in a frontline job\, yet they have very little leadership training. Additionally\, they may now be supervising their former peers which can be a particularly difficult path to navigate. There are many trainings available on how to be an effective supervisor\, but most do not focus on an extremely critical aspect of supervision: Professional boundaries. Professional boundaries are often the key to being considered a "good" supervisor versus a "bad" supervisor.
