SUMMARY:Ratman Auditions
DESCRIPTION:Ratman is a hilarious comedy\, following the title character's journey back to prominence. There's entertaining fight scenes\, dramatic dances\, zany comedy\, and BIG vocal numbers that will have audiences rolling in the aisles. It takes place in the future where the overweight Ratman recluse stays in his Rathole all day watching reruns of his old movies. His sidekick Sparrow gets fed up and leaves him for a rap career\, becoming Blue Jay. The geriatric villains from the past (Jester\, Alley Cat\, Pelican) are stuck in a psychiatric ward when an unexpected visitor breaks them out. Reporter Nicky Nail uncovers their wicked plot of joining forces with Blue Jay\, and Ratman returns to glory with his new sidekick Michael Jackson. He changes the man in the mirror and they have to do everything to stop Blue Jay and the notorious villains by brainwashing children and ruining Slotham City. Parts can be played by male or female actors ages 8-18 and all will need great character acting skills\, comedic timing\, and willingness to be BOLD. Rehearsals begin January 11th and will be Monday and Wednesdays from 5:30-7:00pm. Performances are March 24th\, 25th\, 31st\, and April 1st at 7pm. The production fee for this show is $150.
