SUMMARY:The Steer Steakhouse Re-Opening With Pat Saunders-White
DESCRIPTION:Loveland's legendary\, award-winning steakhouse\, the Black Steer\, recently completed its revitalization which included many interior changes and enhancing its award-winning cuisine by adding some new and exciting entrees and appetizers. To celebrate and welcome our customers back with open arms\, we are inviting you back to the Steer to join us for dinner on Fri. Feb. 3. To enhance your dining experience\, your hosts Janice and Eslan Hamid have selected a collection of "Dreamtime Pictographs" and abstract work by internationally collected Loveland artist Pat Saunders-White. \n\nFrom 5:30 7:30 p.m. on Feb. 3 patrons are invited to dine at the Steer and meet Pat. Each patron eating dinner that night will be eligible to enter a drawing with two prizes: one winner will receive dinner for two at a value of $50 and another winner will receive a signed print from Pat Saunders-White. Reservations are recommended as the event may fill up quickly. Please call (970) 667-6679 for reservations.\n\nAbout Pat Saunders-White\n\nA diverse artist\, Saunders-White is well known for her animal portraits. Pat has an enthusiastic audience worldwide for her custom animal portraits. Her paintings vibrate with energy and depth using complimentary colors and juxtaposing opposites. Inspired by her Australian Grandmother\, Pats interest in native Australian work was sparked in junior high school. Her Grandmother supplied her with oil paint\, a canvas and brushes to paint a portrait of the first internationally recognized Aboriginal artist. This painting inspired her to research the ancient paintings of the Australian Aboriginal tribes. It took several years to master the designing and implementation of her painting technique. \n\nStop into Independence Gallery next to The Steer to find other Pat Saunder's-White artwork.\n\nDetails on the Revitalized Steer Steakhouse\n\nOn Jan. 18\, Loveland's legendary steakhouse the Steer reopened following a successful revitalization. Immediate changes include:\n\n The addition of more seafood\, Bison\, new steak rubs and dipping sauces to the menu as well as more refined items such as grilled chicken breast glazed in orange chipotle sauce and the Hazel Dell mushroom ravioli served on top of roasted red pepper compote\n\n Sleeker interior using new cutting edge materials\n\n Enhancements to the Rear of the Steer including a plank wooden floor\n\n Brighter lighting that can be dimmed for cocktail hour and dinner\n\n Flat screen television sets added to the Rear of the Steer for game-time enjoyment\n\nSome nostalgic and historic d cor will remain specifically the Western artwork\, railroad ties and rustic look. In March/April 2012\, owners Hamid and Janice Eslan will remodel the Lincoln Ave. fa ade and add a window to open up the space. The Steer is a former Loveland Chamber of Commerce 'Business of the Year' award recipient and was awarded the distinction of 'Best Steak in Larimer County' six years running through the Reporter-Herald's reader awards.
