The annual 4-H Carnival will be held Saturday, March 17 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Ranch/Larimer County Fairgrounds in the First National Bank Exhibition Hall. Dozens of booths, created and operated by the 4-H members and their families feature games, prizes, food and lots of fun.
Two auctions highlight the day with numerous prizes donated from area merchants. There are also door prizes and grand prizes available to those who purchase advance tickets through a 4-H member at a cost of $1.00 each. During the carnival those advance tickets can be exchanged for 5 booth tickets and also serve as an entry to the drawings. Tickets may also be purchased at the door.
An Artisan Craft Show will be held in conjunction with the carnival at the same location from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. This year the craft show features a record number of booths - over 50. Hand crafted items by local artisans and crafters will be offered at the show.
This family friendly event is celebrating it's 53rd year as a major fund-raiser for the local 4-H clubs. Proceeds from both the carnival and craft show go to the 4-H foundation and help support 4-H youth programs, events, scholarships and activities. Parking and admission are free.
