At the fair, attendees can visit with representatives from the makers of the REALIZE™
and LAP BAND® , the adjustable bands used in bariatric surgeries. Staff from cardiac
rehab, the sleep lab and the NCMC pharmacy will be present to answer questions about
their services. Also, attendees will have the opportunity to meet surgeon, Dr. Michael
Johnell.
For people considering bariatric surgery, experts from the clinic, including the dietitian
and clinical psychologist will be on hand to provide information and answer questions.
They also will conduct intake appointments if someone wants to schedule an initial
consult or talk about emotional eating.
Guests can visit the NCMC pharmacy table to learn about products available for the
bariatric patient and can also sample protein or vitamin shakes and powders.
