Understanding and leveraging the human resource dimensions of an organization can lead to a competitive edge in business. Learn how to obtain higher retention rates of employees, utilize coaching and consultative styles to drive positive results, address conflict in a productive manner, deliver future-oriented performance feedback, and select applicants who are the best fit for the job.
Session One:
Transforming Your Organization and Your Career Goals: Creating and Communicating Your Future
Tuesday, September 24, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
As a coach and leader of your organization, you are responsible for focusing the efforts and energies of those around you. Whether your focus is on increasing employee performance, providing exceptional service, or creating new products, you have the opportunity to paint a clear picture of where your organization is heading and the goals and actions needed to get there. Creating a line of sight, from the big picture to how that impacts what people do every day, is a strategic and essential skill of every leader.
Session Two:
Performance Management that Drives Results
Tuesday, October 8, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Discover the ways of identifying performance gaps and how to close them, an overview of appropriate documentation, developing effective performance evaluations, and conducting evaluation meetings. Participants will utilize role play delivery of performance management feedback that is actionable, future-focused, and motivates a change in behavior. Further develop your skills in resolving problems in performance reviews and link previous day’s discussions on critical conversations.
Session Three:
Mastering the Art of Strategic Decision Making and Leadership
Tuesday, October 22, 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Learn decision making skills like you have never seen before. Find out ways to foster a collaborative and productive environment using a powerful decision making approach. Discover ways of establishing effective collaboration when working with people who push against collaboration. These decision making skills will also link to meeting management tips and tricks. Learn methods on how to stop fire-fighting and start solving your toughest problems using nine different models. Using this day’s techniques, you can stop the “death by a thousand fish bites” mentality and focus on the big picture.
Session Four
Strategic Partnerships for a Dynamic Future
Tuesday, November 5, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
This session focuses on linking line of sight from the first day with creating time to build strategic partnerships. Learn the art of delegation. Use delegation as career development to get work done through others, instead of negatively dumping on employees. Discover the best ways to get recognized in your career. Advance by developing the employees on your team.
