Photographer and CU professor Alex Sweetman will present the program, “Chuck Close: Photographic Process and Artistic Innovation,” on Thursday, December 15, 2011 at 5:30 pm. The free program is an event in the Artist’s Forum series at the Loveland Museum/Gallery. The slide and video program is being held in conjunction with the exhibition A Couple of Ways of Doing Something, with photographs by Chuck Close and poems by Bob Holman, on display in the museum’s Main Gallery through December 31, 2011. Sweetman’s discussion will analyze Close’s photographic process and the relation of Close’s work to art trends through the course of his career.
