Hitchcock Classic Movie Nights
For 2014 the Loveland Public Library will be hosting Classic Movie Nights, every 4th Monday evening, monthly. 2014?s focus will be Alfred Hitchcock Classics. February introduces us to 1956 suspense thriller starring James Stewart and Doris Day. The film is an altered remake in widescreen VistaVision and Technicolor of Hitchcock's 1934 film of the same name. It is also one of five movies that Alfred Hitchcock directed that he ended up owning. This movie was kept out of re-release until 1983 when it was purchased by Universal Pictures. The film won an Academy Award for Best Song for "Whatever Will Be, Will Be (Que Sera, Sera)" sung by Doris Day. A family vacationing in Morocco accidentally stumble on to an assassination plot and the conspirators are determined to prevent them from interfering. Due to licensing restrictions, the library is not allowed to publicize the title of the movie outside of the library. No registration required, but come early as seating is limited.
