Loveland Classical Schools Expansion Wing Ribbon Cutting
Loveland Classical Schools (LCS), a K-12 public charter school in the Thompson School District (R-2J), is hosting a ribbon cutting ceremony to officially open a wing expansion at its Academy Campus, serving middle and high school students. The project broke ground in October, 2023 and was completed on time for the 2024-2025 school year. It was financed by a tax-exempt bond issue following the second credit rating increase in recent years for LCS by Standard and Poor’s.

“When we added a second campus in 2017, a phased expansion was built into the plan as our student enrollment continued to grow organically,” said Dr. Ian Stout, Executive Director of LCS. “This year, with well over 1,000 students enrolled in our program, the extra classrooms and innovation space couldn’t be more welcome. We are so grateful to the Northern Colorado community and the Thompson School District for their continued support of our efforts to provide a classical education option here in Loveland.”
The wing expansion includes eight new classrooms and a new innovation and engineering space. The project was managed by NV5 Engineering and the builder was GTC Construction. The ribbon cutting will kick off the school’s “Back to School Night” for middle and high school students. Classes at LCS begin August 27, 2024.
