The Eighth Annual Loveland Classical Symposium is a free community event to participate in a lively exchange of ideas and the "Great Conversation", featuring LCS' experts in classical education. Speakers from a range of backgrounds and teaching positions within LCS will be presenting on topics of special interest.
This years keynote, which begins at 9AM following coffee and a light breakfast at 8:30AM, will be delivered by Dr. James Kim, Founding Artistic Director, Colorado Bach Ensemble. The topic, The Perfect Marriage of Text and Music in JS Bach’s Vocal Music explores the juxtaposition of Bach’s music and poetry and highlights how both art forms communicate complex emotions and ideas.
After the keynote, participate in 3 sections of breakout sessions, each featuring three diverse topics ranging from classical philosophy and modern literature to education and history.
