What Healthcare Reform Means to You & Your Business
Former United States Secretary of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt will provide insight and information about health care reform at the final Building Business Excellence Speaker Series luncheon of the season, sponsored by the Monfort College of Business at the University of Northern Colorado. The event takes place from 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 13 at the Embassy Suites Hotel in Loveland.
Leavitt is known for his prescient calls for U.S. healthcare reform. The former Utah Governor now leads Leavitt Partners, a strategic advisory firm specializing in the areas of health and food safety that offers new solutions for solving the health care crisis, advocating fiscal responsibility and higher standards for quality care.
?At a time when health care reform is under attack, individual states are fighting the law in courts and Congress is threatening to repeal the bill, it?s important to understand all the issues, concerns and potential impact on the health care and business communities,? said Don Gudmundson, dean of the College. ?Mr. Leavitt will provide insight, examine the future of Medicare and Medicaid and share a historical perspective about how the size of national debt has affected health care in other countries, and how we can expect it to affect ours.?
Leavitt?s topic is ?What Health Care Reform Means to You and Your Business.? Tickets are available online at www.uncalumni.org/Events or by calling (970) 351-2551. Reservations are due by April 5th.
This is the fourth and final event in the series, which brings national experts to the Front Range to present information about important issues to the business community. Other speakers have included Ben & Jerry?s Co-founder Jerry Greenfield, Best-selling Author Joseph Michelli, PhD. and Personal Finance Columnist Jane Bryant Quinn.
